Course: Recruitment & Selection Core Skills - 2 Days

Overview

A 2 day programme that covers the recruitment and selection core process from job analysis, developing job descriptions and person specifications through to advertising, competency based selection, job offers, induction, probation and relevant equal opportunities and employment law issues. Delegates will also have the chance to look at different selection approaches and interviewing skills.

Aims

To provide participants with the opportunity to understand the range of issues involved in the recruitment and selection process.

Objectives

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of an accurate job/person specification.
  • Plan for, and carry out, selection interviews.
  • Be aware of the importance of creating the right environment for the interview to take place in.
  • Identify the key characteristics for inclusion in job advertisements.
  • Be aware of relevant employment law and equal opportunities legislation
