Overview

This course has been designed to raise the awareness of managers to the methods available and benefits of delegation in the workplace. A 1 day course that covers topics such as: The benefits of delegation, barriers to doing it, identifying the right tasks for delegation, who to delegate to, briefing individuals and supporting team members before, during and after the process.

Aims

To give participants an understanding of the benefits and risks of delegation by introducing them to a range of methods and techniques that support the “art” of delegation.

Objectives

By the end of this course participants will be able to:

Identify the barriers they have to delegating tasks and be aware of a range of methods to overcome them
Understand what tasks should and should not be delegated and to whom!
Be aware of the methods available to support and motivate team members undertaking delegated tasks.

Learning Methods
