Course: Managing Change & Handling Stress - 2 Days
Overview
This programme has been developed to benefit any manager involved in the introduction or ongoing process of change management. Through trainer input, group and individual exercises this participative course will give managers an understanding of their role in the implementation, control, analysis and effects of change, including the need to handle stress not only for themselves but for the people they manage. The course will particularly look at the barriers to change and the approaches that can be made to overcome resistance.
Aims
To introduce participants to the change process and its effects such as stress through both discussion and practical exercises. They will have the opportunity to define stress, understand its link with change and look at ways of managing/handling its effects particularly the methods to eliminate, reduce or cope with stress
Objectives
By the end of this course participants will be able to:
- Outline what change management is
- Be aware of the barriers to effective change, particularly from the people they manage
- Identify and understand a range of methods and techniques to effectively manage the stress process
- Recognise stress and its contributory factors
- Understand their managers role and responsibilities in relation to legislation and the law
